Ferencvaros continues to impress in the EHF Champions League. The Hungarian side followed up their opening-day win with a crushing 40-29 victory over Krim.
After a nine-goal win against Buducnost in the opener, Ferencvaros were heavy favorites as they welcomed Krim for the second game of the EHF Champions League group stage.
And the home side didn’t waste any time, jumping out to an early five-goal lead after just eight minutes. That set the tone for the rest of the game, which Ferencvaros completely dominated. Defensively solid and with plenty of players contributing offensively, the home side cruised past a helpless Krim side.
At the break, there was a nine-goal difference at 21-12, and the game was practically over. However, credit to Krim, who didn’t let the game completely slip away in the second half. With some adjustments, they found better solutions offensively after the break.
Despite that, Ferencvaros extended their lead a little further, securing an eleven-goal victory and another two points to remain at the top of their group.
Two other games were played simultaneously, with Storhamar defeating Blomberg-Lippe 27-23 and Bucuresti winning 36-26 against Buducnost.
