HSG Wetzlar has been looking for a new right back, and now they have found their man. Tomas Piroch has signed a two-year deal with the club, joining next season.
– I’m delighted to be able to continue playing in the Bundesliga, says Tomas Piroch.
At only 26 years old, Piroch already has plenty of experience at the top level. Having played in the Champions League with Polish side Wisła Płock and most recently in the Bundesliga with Leipzig, he will be a strong addition for Wetzlar next season.
– I know Tomas from his time in the MT Melsungen youth academy and have followed his career for many years. With great determination, he has developed step by step and gained valuable international experience at the highest level, says Michael Allendorf, Sporting Director of HSG Wetzlar, to the club website.
The right back has become a key part of the Czech national team, featuring in all recent tournaments. With a strong defensive game and high scoring ability, he has proven himself to be a quality player at the top level.
– I’m delighted to be able to continue playing in the Bundesliga and would like to thank the Wetzlar management for the trust they have placed in me, says Piroch.
