The EHF Champions League group stage finished yesterday. Now it is time for the playoffs, where there are plenty of exciting matchups in the battle for a place in the quarter-finals of the tournament.
Four teams have dominated the group stage so far. In Group A, it has been Füchse Berlin and Aalborg, while Barcelona and Magdeburg topped Group B. These four advance directly to the quarter-finals and will be the favorites to reach the Final Four.
The eight teams going to the playoffs behind them are from Group A: Kielce, Nantes, Veszprém, and Sporting, and from Group B: Wisła Płock, PSG, GOG, and Pick Szeged.
The next round starts on April 1 and will, as always, be decided over two legs. Here are the matchups:
Pick Szeged – Kielce
GOG – Nantes
Veszprém – PSG
Sporting – Wisła Płock
The four winners from these ties will face the top four teams from the group stage in the quarter-finals, which start on April 29.
