Sola HK took charge of the first position in the Norwegian League. Previously undefeated Larvik HK lost ground in the final minutes of an exciting away game, 33–29 on the board.
Sola definitely eyed an opportunity with a confidence boost and 19–14 after the first half. But it wasn’t enough to call the shots for the evening, Larvik bounced back with Christina Pedersen in focus for goal scoring and equalized (20–20) almost ten minutes after the break.
In a two-goal deficit, Sola coach Steffen Stegavik had a game-changing timeout after which the home team could produce an overturn. Back court player Kristiane Knutsen had a lot of offensive success and Camilla Herrem also joined in for the deciding minutes, the 32–29-goal from the super experienced left wing was the end of Larvik´s hope.
Sola captured the total lead with 24 points after 13 rounds, half way through the league stage. Larvik on 23 points is followed by Storhamar (22) and Molde (20) in the tight top section.
