Euros Day 2: Six matches with World Champions making their debut

Day two of the European Championship features six exciting matches, with host nation and favorites Denmark set to make their tournament debut against North Macedonia.

The tournament got off to a strong start yesterday, with all the top teams winning their opening games. Today promises more thrilling matchups.

The first game in Sweden is Iceland vs. Italy at Kristianstad Arena. Iceland will have the crowd behind them and go in as favorites, but Italy showed at the World Championship that they can be a tricky matchup even for the best teams.

Portugal opens their campaign against Romania, while Slovenia takes on Montenegro. Portugal should be able to handle Romania comfortably. The Slovenia-Montenegro match, however, could be a real battle.

Later, reigning world champions Denmark take the court in a packed Herning arena against North Macedonia. Anything less than a commanding win for Nikolaj Jacobsen’s side would be a shock.

Meanwhile, two intriguing matches could go either way: Faroe Islands vs. Switzerland and Hungary vs. Poland. Hungary is the clear favorite on paper, but both games promise drama
