EHF provides a startling referee news before Euro 2026. The North Macedonian pair, Slave Nikolov and Gjorgji Nachevski has been withdrawn after their fitness assessment video being questioned.
Eurohandball.com reports that Nikolov and Nachevski, as all other referee nominees uploaded of two video recordings to give evidence of their status prior to the championship.
When viewed by the appointed EHF partner, Fitgood Pro suspicions arose.
”The European Handball Federation was notified at the end of December that the videos submitted by the two referees may have been altered and may not represent an accurate recording of the entire test”

Now Slave Nikolov and Gjorgji Nachevski has been taken off the list of officials for the tournament, pending further investigations.
