Dutch reinforcement for Team Esbjerg

Sarah Dekker and Judith van der Helm both played European Championship handball last month. Their club careers take a major step up as they become available for Team Esbjerg.

With Nora Mørk taking pregnancy leave and Anne Tolstrup Pedersen on the longtime injury list Esbjerg secures important signatures.

Judith var der Helm, previously in VOC Amsterdam provides the danish giant with right back talent.

– I am very excited to come to a really good club with some of the best players in the world. It is difficult to leave my club in the middle of a season, but they understand that this is a great opportunity for me and support me, the 19-year-old says to Esbjerg´s webpage.

Sarah Dekker arrives with Bundesliga experience but was nonetheless surprised by the contact.

– When I got the call about Team Esbjerg, I was almost in shock, but also excited and very happy to get such a big chance. Things have gone well for me the past two years after an injury that kept me out for 18 months, but I didn’t expect to be playing for the Danish championship and being in the Champions League right now, the right wing says to the club website
