Confirmed: Östlund set to leave Sävehof

Jesper Östlund has acted as a goldsmith during his time in Sävehof. Now, however, the club announces that the coach will leave after the season.
– It is an association and a team that have come close to my heart, so the decision has really been tough to make, he explains in a press release.

Jesper Östlund joined Sävehof in 2022 after several successful years with Hallby’s men’s team and managed to win the Swedish championship in impressive style in his first season at the club.

Even during the autumn, Östlund’s team building has impressed and the team also tops Handbollsligan, even though the results in Champions League has been tougher.

But on Thursday morning, the Swedish team announced that Jesper Östlund will leave the club after his contract expires – a decision that has been made after discussions, where Östlund wants to find new challenges.

– I am extremely grateful to have been given the opportunity to work in Sävehof and to be a coach for these girls for two seasons. It is an association and a team that is dear to my heart, so the decision has really been tough to make! Now I hope to finish with more gold medals around my neck and will work hard to make it a reality, says Jesper Östlund.
