Bietigheim surprised Metz 

Metz HB and SG BBM Bietigheim competed in a tight game for the first 30 minutes. But Bietigheim shifted gear for the second half, with powerful back court actions from Xenia Smits and Karolina Kudlacz-Gloc while Metz couldn’t keep up the efficiency.

It was the first time in the Final four for Bietigheim leading to a first ever final for a German club in the modern era. Metz have had several chances but has to settle for the bronze duel once again.

Bietigheim face Györ as underdog, with an inspired Gabriela Moreschi and the well-performing offense that demonstrated high capacity in the Budapest premiere, there might be another surprise waiting to happen.
