Knee-injured Anna Lagerquist was forced out of Nantes when the club got ruined for financial reasons. Now the 30-year-old has signed for a new club: Györi.
– I am very happy to get to play for Györi. I had a couple of tough weeks at the end of the summer. I was injured when I found out that the club was gone. But I didn’t panic but instead gave myself time to find new opportunities, Lagerquist says via the club’s website.
Anna Lagerquist injured her left knee in February, and her comeback is still quite some time away. It says a lot about her qualities as a player, considering Györi has signed her when she is injured.
– I will work with the specialists in Györi to get ready again.
In Györi, the defense specialist is reunited with coach Per Johansson, who coached Lagerquist a few years ago in Rostov-Don.
