Allan Heine ends Ferencvaros assignment

Things starts to add up concerning Jesper Jensen´s possible arrival at Ferencvaros. The latest news means that the current coach Allan Heine will leave the Hungarian club at the end of the season, according to a club statement.

Jensen´s decision to step down as national coach definitely indicates an upcoming job within a prominent club.

Heine, who has been in charge of Ferencvaros since October 2023 might well have a countryman as his successor and the results so far allow the coach to leave on a high.

– I really love Ferencváros, my colleagues, my team, I enjoy every day spent here, every match, every minute, but I have a family, and it is very difficult for me that I can see them very little, he says to the club webpage.

– We tried to have them visit me, and I also go when possible, but all in all, I did not see it realistic to spend another season without them. I will finish the season, since there are only about five months left, but I do not want to start another one, it would be too much for my wife, my children and me, Heine continues.

The last season, ”Fradi” triumphed in both the league and Hungarian cup. Ferencvaros announcement also states that the club became aware of Heine´s choice already in November allowing plenty of time to find a replacement.
