Kriens-Luzern en route to final triumph

HC Kriens-Luzern is looking for revenge in the final series versus Kadettem Schaffhausen. An away win in the opening game increases the possibility for a first ever club title in the NLA in Switzerland.

Kriens-Luzern had a succesful cup campaign last season but fell 1-3 in the championship final against the dominant Schaffhausen squad.

This time, it might be an even tighter affair. Schaffhausen ran away with 20–16 at half-time in front of their home crowd. In the second half, Kriens-Luzern ruled in defense and the 500 supporters on site cheered every goal from Marin Sipic and every save from Kevin Bonnefoi.

Kadetten with Luka Maros (nine goals) and a solid Odinn Thor Rikardsson controlled the game in nearly 40 minutes but couldn’t find solutions when the game developed out of their hands.

The best av five games drama continues in Kriens on Thursday.
