Done deal: Aron Palmarsson returns to Veszprem

Following a few days of rumours, the Icelandic icon is back in the squad of the Hungarian giant. Aron Palmarsson´s new contract with Veszprem is valid until 2026, confirms Veszprem on the club website.

Palmarsson had a two-year stint in Veszprem between 2015 and 2017, but experienced a controversial farewelll when he departed for Barcelona.

The past event seems to be water on the bridge and Palmarsson moves from his native Iceland to reinforce the CL contender and play for Xavi Pascual.

– I am very happy with the arrival of Aron Pálmarsson, not to mention the fact that we were able to agree on the terms of the contract so quickly with both his club and him. We thank to FH Hafnarfjarðar for their help to complete the signing of Aron Pálmarsson, says Veszprem´s CEO Csaba Bartha to the club webpage.

Palmarsson entered the searchlight for Veszpem after a knee injury on the centre back Yehia Elderaa. The injury should prevent Elderaa from playing during the rest of 2024/25.
