Yerime Sylla brought Belgium all the way to World Cup participation last season. The French coach leaves the assignment as the ”Red Wolves” regroup after a qualification exit. Sylla has another national team in sight.
Sylla became acquainted with Belgian handball as early as 2011. His third stint began in the autumn of 2021 and Belgium broke a barrier by making it to the World Championship, finishing number 21 in international competition.
Leaving Belgium menas that the 55-year-old depart from two jobs, Sylla is also released from Nancy in Proligue. What the future brings is not exactly clear, but the announcement from the Belgian federation points to a prestigious offer.
