The 54th edition of the Partille World Cup has come to an end. Despite rain and bad weather, the tournament has met all expectations and delivered handball delights throughout Gothenburg.
All of Saturday’s finals are now completed, and the tournament’s last and 112 553th goal has been scored. A total of 23,000 players from 39 different nations participated, representing 1,316 different teams in the ages 8 to 21. After 4,750 matches has 18 winners been crowned.
The week has been full of highlights, such as the Danish dominance in the Boys 18 category, the Brazilian team Arca Esportes who, despite setbacks on the field, were the happiest of them all, and the esteemed visit from the Danish national coach Nikolaj Jacobsen on the sidelines with GOG’s Boys 16 team.
