European League finals to Graz and Hamburg

The supporters of title-contenders in EHF European League can follow their teams to either Austria or Germany for Final four action in May. EHF have appointed Graz and Hamburg as host cities for the women and men final weekends.

Since the creation of a Final four event in EHF Cup and its successor European League German teams have celebrated the trophy eight out of ten times.

EHF might opt for a local fan favourite by letting Hamburg host the 2023/24 edition 25/26 May in Barclays Arena.

Graz, however is a returning venue. Ikast HB won the previous tournament in Raiffeisen Sportpark, four equally final-focused squads will be back 11/12 May 2024.

– The decision for Graz and Hamburg marks a huge step in the development of the EHF Finals and of the EHF European League as a whole. For the first time, the two final events are played in neutral venues – just like the EHF FINAL4s in Cologne and Budapest – and regarding location and event experience, both host cities offer a plethora of opportunities to stage true festivals of European handball in May, says Michael Wiederer, EHF President to the federation webpage.
