Gislason confirms German squad for EHF Euro 2024

Germany will host the EHF Euro 2024. Now the coach, Alfred Gislason, has confirmed his squad – where he’s got a mix of experience and young talent.

In January the big handball party starts in Germany. Earlier a majority of the teams has presented their squads for the tournament and now Alfred Gislason has presented the hosts squad.

The squad includes a mix of older and more experienced players, but also some newcomers like Nils Lichtlein and David Späth, that has made their mark during the Bundesliga season.

On the absence-side names like Fabian Wiede and Paul Drux is injured – and players like Patrick Wienczek, Stefan Weinhold and Johannes Bitter has announced that they are not available for DHB selection.

Of the 19 players in the squad, 18 are playing in the Bundesliga. The only player that is playing outside of Germany is the Kielce goalkeeper, Andreas Wolff.
