Croatia is considered as a dark horse for the Euros. But the preparations has been disturbed by the absence of some key players.

Croatia will start their EHF Euro campaign with the game against Spain during the Friday. But the national team coach Goran Perkovac will have to hope for the recovery of some of his stars before the tournament.

According to Jutarnji List it has already been confirmed that David Mandic and Josip Sarac is out for the tournament due to injuries. In addition to that, Dominik Kuzmanovic is unlikely to be ready for the game against Spain.

But the headache doesn’t stop there. Two of the biggest stars, Tin Lucin and Ivan Martinovic, are sick and their recovery will be key for the Croatian squad ahead of the group phase.

Jutarnji List states that it is expected that Marko Mamic will be called in as replacement for Josip Sarac. It has also been confirmed that Lovro Mihic will replace Mandic, while Filip Ivic will join the squad instead of Kuzmanovic. If Dominik Kuzmanovic cannot play, Kristian Pilipovic will be called up as a replacement.
