Yanis Lenne from Montpellier to Veszprem

Veszprem has found an asset in an European competitor. Yanis Lenne fortifies the Hungarian giant from 2025 and four years onwards.

Several media outlets reported on Veszprem´s interest for the 28-year-old French international during the last days. Veszprem also stepped up to the mark with the decision to release Lenne from an ongoing contract and made him available with a four-year-deal.

Lenne moved abroad in 2017 with a spectacular transfer from Selestat to Barcelona. Montpellier brought him back two years later and developed the wing player extensively.

– I am happy that we managed to sign one of the best right wingers in the world, who is a regular in the French national team. Yanis is a very experienced and good player, which we could prove better by the fact that he is the number one in his position in the national team and also plays a decisive role in his club team, Montpellier, said Veszprem´s CEO Dr. Czaba Bartha to the club webpage.

Lenne also adresses the switch and a reunion with Xavi Pascual.

– I am proud to be able to prove myself in the colors of such a long-standing and deservedly famous team. I can’t wait to meet not only my teammates, but also the club’s management, staff members, and of course the legendary Veszprém fans. It is a special pleasure for me to be able to work under the guidance of one of the best coaches in the world again, as I was lucky enough to play for the master’s team in Barcelona, he said to the club website.
