CL: Veszprem in control of group A

Veszprem KC had no need to worry, with a solid win over RK Pelister the Hungarian giant even increased the lead while Paris Saint-Germain lost to Füchse Berlin. Sporting CP keeps the pace, four points out of four after the break.

It was an all group A session, with the slight surprise being that Berlin beat PSG by 37–34. Lasse Andersson was unstoppable with 13 goals and the guests ran to victory with five brilliant minutes towards the end.

Veszprem soon has a quarterfinal ticket within reach and won’t be disturbed by lower ranked teams. Pelister conceded 20 goals just in the first half and Rodrigo Corrales between the posts for the table number one had a splendid opening which closed the game early.

Sporting found a way to revenge against Dinamo Bucharest, spurred by Francisco Costa and brother Martim (eight goals each). Mina Zarabec produced equally good for Wisla Plock and changed the last spot for sixth with a convincing 30–21 versus Fredericia HK.
