MT Melsungen hasn´t given up hope of reaching top four and confirm their good shape by rejecting Rhein-Neckar Löwen by five goals. Frisch Auf Göppingen and TBV Lemgo Lippe also achieved success in the Thursday matchups in Bundesliga.
Melsungen made it to the cup final and maneuvers equally well in the league. Dainis Kristopans made a huge difference with seven goals, overall the guests were just a level above the lions. RNL lost a small grip with one third left of the game, slowly but surely Melsungen took command of the final minutes towards the 28–23-win.
Sebastian Heymann was vital when Frisch Auf Göppingen tied HSG Wetzlar on 23 points. Göppingen passed the opponent for twelfth place at the moment, Wetzlar had a shining star in Domen Novak on penalties, 11 (7) goals but couldn’t stop the general difference.
TBV Lemgo Lippe also completed a run to a five-goal-victory. TSV Hannover-Burgdorf pushed hard in the beginning of the second half but failed to capture the lead, Samuel Zehnder took charge for Lemgo as the home team struck back towards the end.
