With the juridical issues being cleared, HC Erlangen definitely welcomes a superior force on the playmaker position. Marko Bezjak soon starts on an adventure until the end of the season.
While playing for RK Nexe, Bezjak´s involvement in a collision with a delegate made the Croatian Handball federation suspend him for a year. EHF court of handball recently dealt with the matter, following the verdict Bezjak is free to play for the German club.
– We would have liked to have seen Marco on the pitch for HC Erlangen from the start of the season. Unfortunately, he had to watch the first three games because he was initially denied permission to play in the Bundesliga, says managing director René Selke and turns his attention to the positive attributes of the newcomer.
– I am happy that we were able to sign Marko Bezjak, a player who is a goal threat, strong in defence and on the pitch, and who can direct and structure our game together with Sander Overjordet and Nico Büdel. Despite his 38 years, Marko is still an international class player who will help us, Selke continues to the club website.
After a decade in SC Magdeburg, Bezjak is no stranger to the demands and level of Bundesliga.
