TVB Stuttgart achieved two long awaited points against Frisch Aug Göppingen. Thus, the hope of leaving the relegation zone increased with HC Erlangen and SG BBM Bietigheim tied in the bottom region.
The Thursday duels was all about the lower half of the tables. Stuttgart doubled their points of a lackluster 2024/25 season with a splendid start of the second half versus Göppingen.
Lenny Rubin and Torben Matzken placed precise shots in the net and Daniel Fernandez Jimenez resumed the scoring to eight own goals. Göppingen, currently in position 15 had no chance to respond and faced the facts with four straight losses.
In the close call between Erlangen and Bietigheim, the guests pulled away with a three-goal-lead in the first half. Tobias Wagner made sure Erlangen nearly had caught up at half-time with a perfect shot percentage. Tom Wolf powered through for Bietigheim with eleven goals, in the nervous finish 25–25 was established with three minutes to go followed by technical faults.
