Bundesliga: Rhein-Neckar Löwen no match for Magdeburg

SC Magdeburg is boosting confidence and prepare for the slightest unbalance in one of the top teams. An eleven-goal-triumph versus Rhein-Neckar Löwen improved the shape even more for the reigning champion.

RNL wars over-powered on most positions starting with the goalkeeper where Sergey Hernández Ferrer played to his strength with capable saves. Philip Weber and Albin Lagergren powered through in clever attacks – if there wasn’t a goal at the first try Manuel Zehnder converted from the penalty line.

The first ten minutes concluded at 5–5 but the change soon appeared with Magdeburg eight goals ahead at half-time. Magdeburg is three points behind with a fifth-place horizon, four points will likely fortify the position as Magdeburg face lower-ranked teams before the break.

Hannover-Burgdorf managed a great comeback after the break and stopped a very inspired HC Erlangen. Renars Uscins equalizer, 18–18 was the fifth goal in a row from the home team who proved almost unstoppable for the first half of the second period.

Jonathan Svensson finally found a way for Erlangen to score but the early confidence was nowhere to be seen and 31–25 turned out to be expected numbers between the top and bottom

Frisch Auf Göppingen is heading in the right direction with back to back victories. Oskar Sunnefeldt laid ground for home win with 27–24 and Göppingen also passed HSG Wetzlar in the table after 27–24. The swedish presence (Sunnefeldt, Ludvig Hallbäck and Andreas Flodman) in the score sheet was strong when Göppingen pulled away, a red card on Vladimir Vranjes made it even harder for Wetzlar to keep up.
