Amine Darmoul to miss rest of the season

The newcomer in MT Melsungen and Tunisia will be missing for the rest of the season.  Amine Darmoul recently suffered a tough injury and the examination showed a torn cruciate ligament, according to the webpage of the Bundesliga club.

Darmouls fifth season in the German league and the first in Melsungen was halted abruptly when the 26-year-old had a bad landing with his right knee during the European League game against Vardar Skopje.

The MRI scan left no opening except for an operation and a long rehab period for the centre back.

”Additional knee specialists were also called in – the unanimous opinion: an operation is unavoidable. Such an operation means the end of the season”, writes Melsiungen on their website.

Darmoul left relegated GWD Minden and joined Mesungen before 2024/25. As he tried to adapt himself to the new environment, there’s room for a comeback before Darmoul´s contract expires in 2026.
