French national team player Benoît Kounkoud was fined 4,100 euros for sexual harassment on Monday, reports L’Equipe. He was previously suspected of attempted rape.
It was during the night of January 30th that Benoît Kounkoud was arrested by police at a nightclub in Paris on suspicion of attempted rape of a young woman. The investigation determined sexual harassment, which he admitted to, reports several French media outlets.
Kounkoud was fined 4,100 euros by the Paris court, without it being recorded in his criminal record, reports L’Equipe.
The right winger is included in the French preliminary squad for the Olympics.
