Morten Olsen hastily resigned from GOG. But now it is clear that the centre back is ready for a return to Bjerringbro-Silkeborg.
– I think BSH is a really good team, a good club and with great potential, he says on the club’s website.
Morten Olsen had to leave GOG under high profile circumstances last week. The game director had to leave the club in the middle of a burning season and the teammates got the news in the dressing room after the Champions League victory against Porto according to Danish TV2.
Following the announcement of the move from GOG, there has been speculation as to whether Olsen will play any more handball matches at all. But on Monday morning, league rival Bjerringbro-Silkeborg presented a sensitive signing.
BSV announced that they are bringing in Olsen on a contract that runs until the summer of 2025. This means that Olsen returns to the club that he represented between 2007 and 2010.
– I think BSH is a really good team, a good club and with great potential. I believe and hope that I can contribute to making us stand even stronger together in the fight for the gold. In addition, everything outside of handball will suit us as a family very well,” says Morten Olsen about the change on the club’s website.
The Swedish trio Ludvig Hallbäck, William Bogojevic and Johan Sjöstrand already play in Bjerringbro-Silkeborg. BSH is parked in third place in the table, while GOG is still in sixth place in the table.
