Bad news for Hoxer – misses World Championship with shoulder injury

Mads Hoxer has injured his shoulder and will need surgery. This means the talented right back will be out for at least five months. Hoxer will not only miss games with club side Aalborg but also miss the World Championship in January.

It’s not the first time Mads Hoxer has been unlucky with injuries. The young right back missed the 2024 Olympics with an injury, and now he will miss time again.

Aalborg states in a press release that Hoxer will miss at least five months of play due to a shoulder that’s been troubling him for a long time. The right back will need surgery.

– The shoulder has been troubling me since the spring, and the injury has gradually gotten worse and worse. It is, of course, a big disappointment, but in my current state, I am nowhere near being able to play the way I want to, Hoxer states in the press release.
